The Logistics Society, a registered NMMU student society, one of only a few "academic support" societies on campus, arranges discipline/course-related activities for fulltime students registered for the National Diploma: Logistics and National Diploma: Inventory and Stores Management.

Its committee (consisting mainly of second and third-year students) arranges activities such as guest speakers from different industries in which their discipline is applied, as well as factory tours/visits for its members (1st, 2nd and 3rd-year students). These activities allow our students to relate better to their course content and expose them to "real-world" logistics. The in the Logistics Department assists the society's committee and "oversees" its activities to ensure that it is discipline-related.
