Ms Thunyelwa Godongwana, a cleaner at the University recently graduated with the Advanced Diploma in Business Studies: Logistics Management.

After successfully completing the short learning programme (SLP) “Introduction to Warehouse Management”, lectured by Mr Shandran Pillay in the Department of Logistics in the first semester in 2017, Ms Godongwana enrolled for the Diploma: Logistics as a part-time student in the second semester, which she successfully completed at the end of the 2020 academic year. She registered for and completed the Advanced Diploma in Business studies: Logistics Management in the 2021 academic year and was awarded her qualification during the NMU April 2022 graduation ceremony.

When approached to comment on her achievement, Ms Godongwana responded by saying “It was not easy, but I committed myself and dedicated all my time to my books. I completed the short course and was motivated by my hard work to do the full course. I encouraged myself that if I managed the short course, then surely, I could do a full course if I put in the effort. Indeed, I put in the effort and I completed the course”. The Logistics Department congratulates Ms Godongwana on her achievement.
