Prof Miemie Struwig was approached by The Conversation to write an article for women's month.

The article entitled, "Women need to start believing that they're fabulous - then we'll start to see change", is based on the premise of Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg's book, Lean In.

The article focuses on how women underestimate their own abilities, women are conditioned to believe they have to sacrifice to be successful and finally, how women start focusing on other's needs instead of their own and "leave" their jobs before they actually leave.

The article was published on Friday, 14 August 2015 and it was rated as one of the best articles publisehd on the website during its week of publication.
