Students are exposed to Toastmasters, community outreach, developing self - confidence, assertiveness skills, developing a portfolio, dining etiquette, decision-making skills, and many more other skills.
At the end of the year, students are awarded certificates for successful completion of the course
Certificate handover is done at a sponsored breakfast
This year, the breakfast took place at the Bayworld Conference Centre
Students were requested to invite an inspiring lecturer to accompany them to the breakfast
Paul Tai-Hing was invited by a group of second and third year Management students
Paul has made BTC part of his second year curriculum where students in the second year study of the Management Diploma are instructed to participate in BTC.
After awarding of the certificate, the program is entered onto the co-curricular record of the student concerned. This record is administered by the Department of Management Practice.
At the end of the third year, all co-curricular activities are included in a portfolio which can then be presented to the interviewer when the student applies for a job. Both academic and co-curricular records will be provided to students for inclusion in the portfolio.
